Our Bible verse today is from Luke 5:16
But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray.
Rest and Refueling
"Next gas station 78 miles, Signs like that make you wonder; Do I have enough fuel to make it? What if we need to get out of the car and walk around? Why did I just drink that entire jumbo sized cola? Resting and refueled not to mention bathroom breaks are vital to every successful journey. Jesus rested and refueled as he journeyed to the cross. While he spent much of his time preaching and teaching the crowds, playful retreats were also central to his ministry. Resting in the present of his heavenly Father and spending time in prayer to the Father gave Jesus strength to continue on his journey. Similarly, refueling our bodies and souls by spending time at rest in the presence of God strengthens us for our journey through life in Christ. As we pray, the holy spirit brings calm into our chaotic world. As we meditate on Scripture, our Lord speaks truth in tipsy turvy times. This makes is possible for us to continue our journey with him in joy. I so have to have time like these to refuel with all that is going on in our lives and yours. Dear Lord, help me to find the time to rest and then use it as refueling for my walk to the cross with our Lord. Things go better if I take this time, so thank you Lord for all you have given us.
AMEN till next week this is Becky litterer from Becky's Greenhouse, Dougherty...Enjoy this spring like weather and I promise you spring is coming.

Today's Bible verse if from Revelation 21:5 Jesus said, "Behold I am making all things new." A newborn's world is small. As he takes his first few grasping breaths, an infant's world does not extend beyond the four walls of the small hospital room in which he is born. His world includes only a few people: mother, father, doctor and nurses.
As days and months go by, that world grows larger, the baby crawls about in a house or apartment full of strange rooms and peculiar features, each filled with opportunities to explore and make new discoveries. The world swells to an enormous size when the toddler learns to walk. That ability opens up a whole universe of new places to explore.
Walking with God will undoubtedly lead you to new places, too. Noah walked with God to a new and largely uncertain place. This journey began with God invited Noah to walk by faith.
Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. Genesis 6:14
Rather than come up with a million and one reasons not to follow, Moan put one foot in front of the other, He set to it:
Noah did this, he did all that God commanded him. Genesis 6:22
He hammered and sawed. He measured and cut. He got blisters and slivers. Noah worked by faith, not knowing exactly where God was taking him. Yet through it all, God was preparing Noah for an adventure. God was leading Noah and his family to a whole new place.
Walking with God will take you to a whole new place in Christ. The one who makes all things, new Jesus, will continue taking you to new and greater places as you lie out your life o f faith in him. Christ continually brings his people to a point of repentance, forgiveness and peach, to a place of power and service.
Like Noah, you may spend months and years walking by faith, not knowing exactly where the Lord is taking you. Yet, as you put one foot in front of the other and begin walking by faith, you can be certain that your adventure has begun. God will lead you to challenges and opportunities beyond your imagination right now. Dear Lord, lead me to a new place in my faith in you...amen
