Where to plant:
Cannova Red Shades Canna is an herbaceous evergreen annual for us with a rigidly upright and towering form. Its wonderfully bold, coarse texture can be very effective in a balanced garden composition. It is a good choice for attracting hummingbirds to your yard. Can be used for mass planting, container planting or accent plant.
This plant should only be grown in full sunlight. It requires an evenly moist well-drained soil for optimal growth, but will die in standing water. It is not particular as to soil pH, but grows best in rich soils. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments, and will benefit from being planted in a relatively sheltered location. This plant can be propagated by division.
