For Larry and I a quiet day in Dougherty for the 4th of July. How many of you remember our 4th of July picnics we had? First one was in 1978 I do remember because Josh was just little. Don't know how many years we did it. But they roasted hogs, had parade, kids games, potluck, beer and sometimes we had fireworks at night. Those were the small, local town events. Hope all of your 4th of July went well and the weather was the best part. Cool for July, less humidity for July no rain...but that will change as soon as tomorrow it looks like. I will write another gardening hint tomorrow. It was good to take a little time off. Now this week will be getting ready for the Franklin Co. Fair both Larry and I. He will take down tractors and work at the fair grounds, and I will work on the plants and things that are going to the fair.
