In the Northern Hemisphere, we are going into winter. Our family is Australia in the southern Hemisphere is going into summer. Larry’s sister Evelyn’s garden is blooming like crazy as it is their spring. Here is one of her plants. I don’t think we have anything like that here. What do you think?
My heath leafed Banksia is loving this warm weather, a common native bush/tree. The birds and insects love them. I don't know if you are familiar with the stories of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, written by May Gibbs. In it are the banksia men. They are the seed cones left once the flowers are spent. They are very hard, lots of artists make things like coasters and essential oil diffusers out of them.
