Good morning, welcome to my Garden show, Gardening and you. I am Becky Litterer from Becky’s Greenhouse in Dougherty. This show is about more than just the different aspects of gardening, it’s about how we can help you with your gardening needs. WOW
Open house last weekend went well, and have to thanks all that attended even though the weather wasn't that great. BUT we are ready, we are open and this weekend should be awesome. Open house always marks the start of the gardening season, and we are adding more and more each week. Greenhouses are full, racks are full and we are growing more yet. More orders are coming in. We are open from 9-6 on Monday thru sat, Sunday from 11-4. For the ones that came last weekend they were very commentary about how well the plants look. We are very proud of having them look awesome now. They are so ready to go into your garden.
Here is a sample of what I have in my newsletter. This is the oldest marketing tool I have developed with the greenhouse. I have been writing them for almost 30 years. At first I mailed them out, but that got too expensive as I sent out 1800 postcards.
We need to talk....
I have been having some interesting conversations this early spring with customers. They are with me in the greenhouse. Now imagine this, I am planting along with Marianne and Wanda planting plants.
"I see you got your plants in." I took this comment as the finish plants were brought in.
" I would say yes, e got the plants in Feb and early March. We got them as plugs or small plants. WE grew all of these."
"REALLY, I didn't know."
So what about growing plants for 28 years don't they understand. What about being a greenhouse? So I will be talking about this all season long in my radio show, in my newsletters in my ads and in my presentations.
Our plants are grown here, locally grown and planted with tons of love and care. We take pride in our growing plants.
Yes, I will say we buy in trees, shrubs, and the perennials. But all the annuals, vegetables, baskets, landscape pots, Memorial day planters are planter and grown here. Thanks for listening....
