This was written last Friday and Saturday it was windy, and cooler. TODAY Sunday is a perfect spring day. Temperatures are in the low 70's , it is breeze but still very nice....So this might make 6 days of spring. Sorry I haven't written for a few days...been busy which is all about what we do. Still thanks for reading the blog, and I will try to do better this week in posting.
05/30/18 It is another hot and humid day predicted. This is getting so old and we still have July and August to go thru. I went thru over 1200 gallons of water yesterday keeping everything watered and looking good. So far so good about keeping the plants blooming, growing and alive during this summer like weather. Tomatoes look awesome and we have many different kinds. Peppers are growing and they too look great and ready to go into your garden. Lots more varieties than every before in peppers. Later today I will post the varieties of peppers and tomatoes. Blooming annuals are looking of course you know looking great. The trio pack of annuals have been a huge success to the gardener. Take a couple of pots home, and you will have instant color and they will last all season long. We have over 14 different combos of them. Perennials wagons look great and some of them are blooming so you know what you are planting. We buy them in so Swift's Greenhouse in Gilman does a good job with labeling to let you know where to plant, how far apart, and how tall they get. Also will tell you if they are deer resistant, foot friendly, for butterflies and hummingbirds and can be used for fairy gardens. Lots of information on that little label for your garden needs. So off to start watering, and keeping all of these plants looking AWESOME....till next time this is Becky Litterer Becky's Greenhouse, Dougherty Iowa beckmall@netins.net
