I got up early before 6 and saw the sky was clear. So got dressed and saw the planets. So if you hear about a person standing in the middle of the road while Sukup workers were going to work in Dougherty, just know it was me. I was on the road as it was cleared of snow, I could see the south sky, If you go out, take the map as that really helps locating the planets and telling which one is which. Even saw Mercury but very faint light. I would suggest then a flashlight so you can see the map. But with the street lights I could still see them. Now I am writing this at 7:30 AM and it is cloudy all ready. Temperature was 27 degrees, and no wind so it was lovely out. To think that many have seen these planets over the thousands of years. Make us think about who we are? Hope before Feb 20th, you will be able to see the 5 planets. Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Mars, Jupiter. Everyone have a great day. Till next time, Becky Litterer Dougherty

Loved what you wrote about standing in the middle of the road at 6:00 in the morning looking at the planets. So many time the news reports about being able to see something at a certain time but then it is cloudy so don't see anything. I like your New Year's resolution!

I am actually awake! I could only see one this morning, as it was cloudy to the southwest. But, the one was brilliant. Can't wait to see the rest! Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
